I hear you. I went with the Napa Leather and real Carbon fiber upgrade. The C5/C6 wheel its not a great looking wheel either and its called the Pillsbury Doughboy Wheel in their communites. A lot of folks like the D style wheel but I think you need to have a smaller center hub for that to look right and the C4 airbag is pretty big. I went with a Orange centering stripe with a nod to the GM orange lettering throughout the 90-91 C4. I have received a lot of positive comments about the refresh. GC

This guy did.

I think this wheel looks much better than the 94-96 steering wheel. Although it was a major PITA from what he said.

It depends on the year of your C4. I think the 90-93 wheel is much more attractive than the 94-96 and is def worth an upgrade to the rim. But if you have a 94-96 and want to keep your airbag, the camaro wheel is pretty much the only option, and it does look much better than the 2 spoke wheel the car came with. Which looks like it came from a caprice or something equally mundane.

I admire his effort and tenacity but the Camaro wheel is an ugly azz wheel IMHO

I do not like the look of the two spoke 94-96 steering wheel either. I think the 90-93 was the best looking steering wheel in the C4 run

Only with a MOMO, GRANT, SPARCO or similar aftermarket wheel with the airbag not retained. A few threads here on that

My friend -=JEFF=- recently upgraded his 90 ZR-1 wheel and column

This is the C5 Steering wheel which you do not want:

I went with a Sparco 350mm Steering Wheel and am very happy with it:

I've got an NRG aftermarket steering wheel in my '92. Easily one of the best mods I've done to it. You lose the airbag... but by this point the airbag is probably a shrapnel bomb anyways.

Yep, I really like the Momo wheel

Made it a different car.. no regrets.

I went beyond the wheel swap and swapped in a 1989-earlier column and have telescopic as well as tilt

Only way that could have looked better was with red stitching to match your interior
