I'm trying to keep my '88 original. With my mech stethoscope I can hear the smog pump making an apparent bearing noise so I'd like to rebuild it. The vendors sell rebuilt units but I'd like to rebuild my own. Any one have a parts supplier for the bearings, etc.? Alternatively does someone know where in SW Florida I can find a rebuilder for my unit? If neither of these work I can ship it.

get in touch with forum member tom454. he attempted to rebuild his 87's smog pump - can't say how everything turned out, but he would have first hand experience. i'm thinking it's not an easy task. -
