Was it running OK when it was parked? How long has it been sitting?

You are lucky to have an '84 because you can look at the injectors and see if they're spraying fuel while cranking. Do that.

Easy one-man DIY!

If you don't have fuel spray, check for spark. If you have a bad ignition module in your distributor, you won't get either spark or fuel spray.

Good to know it was running a month or so ago. Now, you are going to need to start by determining which element is missing, fuel or spark.

Stand by the front of the door with the window open and reach in through the window opening and turn the ignition key.

You can also use a mirror to see what's happening.

Well done! It is great that you had something straight forward.

I had an "82 with the identical engine to your '84. I loved that engine and had no problems with it.
