Default [LT1] Spark Plug gap - Do I need to change it?

I have a 383 with 12.x:1 compression, should I use the factory gap (.050) or should I decrease that or ? I had Autolite AP104's (about 1/2 step colder than factory) in my car and was running .05 gap and they looked like they were too hot of a plug still. Just picked up NGK TR6's and I was curious if I should decrease the gap to .045 or something or just go with the factory setting.

Also, I read somewhere to gap 1,2,7,8 at .055 because the cylinders aren't fed as well so you increase the gap to get a better spark kernal to fully combust the mixture. Anyone heard of doing this/tried this?

Believe it or not, my tuner recommended that I run .030". I didn't but I do run them at .035". No problems in many miles and they always look good when checked. I can't remember what his reasoning was but I'll ask him again when I see him soon. I thought it was kinda weird, but he did everything else so well that I thought I'd give it a shot. I just use standard (non platinum) plugs because I like to keep them fresh.

I know with Nitrous and forced induction you are supposed to run like .035 and I thought it had to do with cylinder pressure so I was thinking that I might need to run a little bit less too.

We typically set them at .045. also if you're not running an MSD you would definately benefit from one.
