Default low rpm stumble

help ! i have an erratic idle , and a stumble/miss at low rpm's . so far i have changed the fuel pump , plugs , wires , cleaned the mass air , and throttle body . i have no engine smoke . 1986 l98 auto

I tend to have a surging idle in my 86 when it gets up to temp and sits for a little while. Did you replace the distributor cap? also try cleaning the IAC valve.

i haven't done the cap yet . what do i clean the valve with ?

i forgot to mention that when i pulled them , the spark plugs were clean . i have no spark knock , or run on .

you should be able to clean it with Carb Cleaner or something like that, i would run a search on IAC cleaning before going ahead with it

if the idle air control is clogged up then it will cause the computer to have a fit and screw up your idle
