Default I need your help...Rear Diff.

I just received my used carrier with new gears.......

How do I tell what year it is from? There are several stamps as follows:

1.) on the Rear Cover seal area = B162GD. This will be covered by the seal when installed.
2.) Outside Carrier Case = 41457
3.) Outside Carrier Case = A round stamp that has a torx type symbol in the middle......then clock wise reads this.....9:00 = A 12:00 = 87 3:00 = 20.

Do these numbers tell you the year of this thing???
Thanks in advance!

Are you just curious to know what year it's from, or is there some
compatability issue between the different years?

generally that TORX stamp is hour, month year and date, not necessarily in that order and not guaranteed
