How to replace rear main seal?
I think the rear main seal is leaking. Their is oil being sprayed all over at the back of the engine. Do I have to pull the motor or can it be done from below. How many hours would a shop take to do the job?

84/85 is 2-piece, 86 and later are one-piece.
Either can be done with the engine in the car. I had to have mine done twice on the original motor. I think the shop had it a couple days each time. I wanna say it cost me $3-400.

The two piece seal is MUCH faster to change. Neither the trans or flywheel have to be removed. It will probably take a DYIer most of a day, the first time, maybe less. Drop the pan and rear bearing cap and go for it.

Are you sure it's not the intake or maybe the oil pressure switch? Both are lots easier than a rear main. As mentioned, the 84/85s have a two piece seal meaning you need to remove the oil pan and one main bearing cap. Half the seal comes out with the cap, the other has to be "rolled" out from above the crank. It isnt hard but I'd hate to do it without a lift, and even then I'd hate to do it without removing the pan and letting it drip on the floor overnight instead of on me.
Some notes: install the one-piece pan felpro gasket with a little silicon on the corners and don't forget to torque the main when you put it back. Oh, and DO NOT scratch the crank while rolling out the top half of the seal.
