Don't hold your breath (or create more threads)
Assuming the product isn't a hoax, you can be certain BBK will
let L98 owners know when BBK is ready to begin shipments.

BTW - 3rdGen's thread is at 771 posts.
As of just now the last post is dated 07-17-2008 - almost four
years
since the thread began back in 2004.

Don't become a chump by helping to promote non-existant products ...

So many facts, so little time. Let's just skim the archives
for a quick recap of the BBK TPI story over the past four years:

Ken Murphey, at the SEMA show today about the new intake
that will be released by his company. He is a really nice guy and
has some great ideas and great products. He seems excited about
this new intake and it should be a killer setup for our cars. In this
post I will list all the information we were able to obtain about the
intake. It is important to note that this intake is still in the
development stage and all this information is subject to change.

As stated above this intake is still in the prototype stage and only
the intake base is complete. They did not have the prototype at
SEMA so sorry no pictures available yet. Below are the questions
from my previous post and their answers, I have also added and
taken away a few questions. It is important to note that the
answers are not the exact answers or wording we got from the
guys at BBK, I have put them into my own words:

Q) What is the price range of this new intake setup?
A) The price is targeted around $600.

Q) When is this intake scheduled to be released?
A) They should have it out for summer 2005 sales.

The one and only TPI intake proto (the one in this thread)
is in our pattern shop here in So. Cal. and has been there for
a few months now.

Everyone and their grandmother has called BBK about this.

It should be out closer to the end of summer this year.

The marketing dept. is always a few months ahead of
the rest of us since they have to get the advertising
out before new items become available so they don't
sit silently on the shelves with nobody knowing of it's
existence.

Plus the catalogs only get printed once a year, so they
have to look months ahead to make sure they have
everything possible covered.
As of today, the BBK website advertises "Estimated Release
Date: Winter 2008."

As for the Horsepower TV Segment - if you mean the 16 sec of
footage (1:27-1:43) showing an employee using a height gauge
on a TPI lower intake manifold shown in the BBK tour, this is hardly
proof that production is any more imminent than it has been for the
past several years.

I am as eager as the next L98 owner for new intake choices to
become available. However, more than enough anticipation has
gone unrewarded for too long. Until BBK has product on the shelves
of distributors, my vote is that their much rumoured TPI intake does
not exist. They know, or ought to know, about the interest amongst
consumers - there's nothing to be gained by talking BBK up any
further at this point.

wow, so this is why forums get a bad name for not being helpful!!! I know how to use the search function and I have searched and read all the posts INCLUDING those on thirdgen.org!! My original question was that I was wondering if anyone had heard anything NEW!!!!! That means new happenings, not goofballs telling me to search and quoting all the posts that we have all read a thousand times! I'm sorry you hate BBK and that you don't want them to get free advertising among enthusiasts such as corvette owners. I have hundreds of posts on this forum and I even bought my vette off of a forum member but this crap really p*sses me off. So lets try this one more time....HAS ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING NEW ABOUT THE RUMORED BBK INTAKE?

Nothing new. However after looking at the intake once again it appears that the runners will be larger than on the Edelbrock. It appears that the runner entrances are offset more than the other aftermarket intake manifolds save the First. IMHO this means larger runner for more airflow. A good thing.

I'm seriously considering one on my 383 build but I would enjoy seeing more data with the intake dyno'd on larger cubic inch motors.

Why would you think we'd heard anything new when the BBK website is really the only authority on the subject, which you can look up and read yourself?

Everything else is forum heresay from people talking out of their a**.
