The cold start injector enriches the fuel/air mixture to enhance starting in cold weather. It turns on when the coolant temp is below 35 F and the engine rpm is below 600 rpm.

I currently have a SuperRam intake and the cold start injector cannot be installed. The only problem I have is idle when the engine is cold. It is fine after the engine warms up.

no its not really that necessary unless you live up further north, they were removed on later vettes

Good. I live in MS - right now, 10:40 pm EST, at the end of January, it is around 60*. I don't think I have to worry about it. :mad
