Default It is AHHH-LIVE!

After nearly 3yrs, my vette finally saw the light of day today! With a new 383 stroker it pulled itself around the neighborhood. The floorboards were rumbling like crazy (need to go to the exhaust shop). But, it sounds very healthy at rpms higher than body resonance.

I goosed it a couple of times going around the block. From what I can tell, it pulls as hard (or harder) in 3rd as it used to in 2nd. I didn't go TOO crazy yet, but I can tell a monster is born!

Below are some pics of the engine installed. The specs are in my original thread found here.

A short vid is also inserted below. My camera must not pick up full-range of audio because it's WAY louder than the vid portrays.

Click on pic below for video.

P.S. Beat you Todd! LOL

Great looking engine! One of the nicest ones I've seen and I really like the 'vintage' valve covers. Looks very cool! Congratulations on rolling the beast out. The beast (and it's owner) musta been highly stoked!

Congrats Gregg. That thing looks too nice to drive. You can eat dinner off the plenum. Enjoy the ride.

Wow Gregg, that's suh-WEET! IT sounds great - why bother with a trip to the muffler shop

You should do a nice, hi-res video and post it to youtube. The pics are great but I bet they just don't do all that work and polishing justice!

Helluva job man!

Congrats - it's ALWAYS nice to have completed a project and get the results you're after!

You doing your own chip tuning??
