L98 Water Pump pulley - mount with bolts or studs with nuts?
I am reassembling an engine I didnt take apart. Looking at the parts diagram and service manual....does the water pump pulley and the balancer (frisbee) mount to the water pump via four bolts? The diagram shows bolts and in another view it shows studs mounting to water pump then nuts to the stud after the pulley and balancer are in place instead bolts after pulley and balancer. This is a 89 L98.

If you would like I can pull one bolt out go to ace and match the size up for ya.I am headed that way later this afternoon. BTW: most of us have left the Frisbee out will no ill effects.

The exploded diagram may be sort of universal. In the pic it shows both studs and bolts but the listing is for 87-91 cars. My 87 uses bolts.
Maybe the cars that have the "frisbee" use studs to make it easy to align both the frisbee and the pulley up during assembly. Easier to put both on studs compared to trying to line up both holes to get a bolt to start.

My 89 has studs coming out of the water pump and nuts go on the outside....WW
