Can I pressure my L-98 fuel rail with fuel without cranking the engine?
I just finished rebuilding the top end on my 88 TPI. Can I turn on the fuel pump on to pressurize the fuel rails to check for leaks without cranking the engine? I attached an Accell fuel pressure gauage to the fuel rail, turned the ignition on and failed to turn on the fuel pump. I got no pressure reading.

Turning on the ignition key, the fuel pump should run for 2-3 seconds and pressurize the fuel rail.

I hear no fuel pump motor when I turn the ignition on and leave it on. The only thing I have messed with is changing the fuel filter and rebuilding the fuel rail along with new injectors.
Before I started working on the motor everything worked perfectly. I did not have a gauge to measure fuel pressuret before I started that my work. So I'am confused. I may have to entergize the computer ADL as said.

Maybe at this point in time it is best the injectors are not hooked up. You don't want raw fuel in the cylinders. As suggested apply 12V to terminal G of the ALDL plug.
