Default Oil Pressure light

Lately, when it is really hot outside and i'm in stop and go traffic and the temperature guage goes to the point that the fans come on, i noticed that my oil pressure light starts flickering. At all other times I have plenty of oil pressure. Should i go to a higher viscosity oil. I have a 94 lt1 vert with 109,000 miles.

Did you clean the junk out of your radiator? Corvettes get a bottom supply of air so they vacuum up everything off the road. It needs cleaned every 30,000 miles or so.

If you keep radiator clean and the oil pressure is still low go up in viscosity on the oil, it's a band aid for worn bearings but you will get some more miles out of the engine.

Hard to answer the question without knowing this: what kind of oil you are using and the viscosity rating of the oil? GM recommends 5-30 Mobile 1. I've have used 10-30 Mobile 1 in the summer.
