Man, this is a tough crowd around here. Im going to throw my opinion out here. First, the opti, has always had its share of problems. From the orig. factory ones, which were redesigned in 94-95 cars, to the aftermarket ones. There was dynaspark, msd, and the petri's units, and all of them have their fair share of complaints, and they cost much more. Even trying to find one of the orig. optis with the better sensor, is pretty much, non existent unless you find NOS somewhere.
If I needed a opti, I would try this one in a heartbeat. Maybe it wont hold up, but I would rather be out of $125.00 then $500.00 or so for the others.
And again, I would like to thank you for bringing a part for the LT1 to the market.

Just wanted to add my compliments to this vendor for supplying the LT1/LT4 crowd. Seems like there are less aftermarket companies today with parts for us than when I bought my first '92 Vette in November '91.
I do not understand that because of how many LTX engines are out there.
This unit looks like the problem with finding Mitsubishi optical sensors has been solved.
If and when I need to replace my original Optispark, acquiring this one would seem to be a good choice.

Most Opti Options have a proven BAD record, it seems, at this point. This vendor is here. He's offereince something that has no track record (good or bad!)...and as a "bonus", it's at a smokin' price! This assy is about the price of a normal cap and rotor, folks!! Some Optis are failing in days. This one has a year warranty.
I'd try it in a heartbeat. Thanks for offering us a product, SacCity!

Here is a man who is thinking rationally, rather based off of fear.

Almost all Optispark failures are heat related with the sensor. Rarely any mechanical failure. The answer is in the Mitsubishi electronic sensor module used in even the re-man A C Delco Optispark. This unit is still manufactured and used in Misubishi light trucks and seems totally impervious to heat failures. If this optispark is a good mechanically as advertised it would last a lifetime with the Mitsubishi module, available new in AC DELCO, ACD #1104032, GM# 1104032 re-man Optisparks.

C-4 people just don't want CRAP , I restore C-4s and buy lots parts and do I get some CRAP parts .I called one to day Big Corvette parts vendor and ask if they insalled there parts on anything and he no. The part did not work send it back is all they can say so the next guy gets same crap.. It's good we ask about this stuff comeing out to let people know if you got something to sell it better be right or we don't want it .. Is true people just aren't makeing parts for these C-4s ,can't find shifters and on and on... We need good parts NOT JUNK.. All parts should be tryed to see if anygood or not .. If you sell Corvette parts and you don't try them or don't have a Corvette ..Sorry I don't trust ya...We want the good stuff NO JUNK.. Nothing wrong in asking is this any good ..C-4 owners don't want junk.. So if anybody is going to sell us something it better be the worth the money .. I'm just tired of being burined ,like thats all there is take or leave it.. I don't think so.. I'm done.. Just saying...

Your web site shows a vented, and a non-vented opti.
My '92 originally came with a non-vented, but I would like to replace it with a vented unit.
Other than the vent, is there a difference between the two units?

Somewhere on here a guy posted that his MSD Opti went out, I think he said a month after installing it. So you never know.

I got about 3 years on my MSD so certainly not worth the extra $$$, would never go with an Accell. I have a SAC City Corvette opti on my autocross car!
Just dynoed at 270rwhp and 296tq! All stock motor, 3" custom magnaflow exhaust with 3" magnaflow cats

Thanks for the info. I will save that information and site. My stock Opti still works perfect, but if I have to change I dont want to do it again and would replace it with a better quality unit.Thats why I love this forum because so many people have been there and done that with different Vette issues. Seems like most Optisparks last along time if you dont get them wet, mine is a 96 with 60K on it,and G.M. was supposed to of fixed that issue on 96 models< we will see. Now having said that when I go in the garage it probley wont start!
