I have my hood completely off my car but the headlight assembly's are still installed. It's in a back room, but can pull it out and weigh it if needed. Let me know by a direct E-mail if you would like the weight of a hood with the headlight assy's. installed.

I carefully weighed my C-4 hood and it came in at a whopping 98 pounds!!! This includes; factory paint, headlight assy's. & motors, support rod, receiver posts and coil springs, and under-hood lights and wiring, and front emblem. (Basically everything on a stock hood except the forward hood hinges). I would assume that 74# is accurate for a painted hood less the headlight assembly's and support rod: 98# - (11# x 2) Headlight assy's & - 2# for the support rod. (A stripped hood - paint, receiver posts & springs, underhood lights, wiring, and hood emblem must weigh in the neighborhood of 64#). Hope this helps! :cheers:

98 sounds more like what it felt like when I removed it. It's mass makes it feel heavier.
Any idea what a headligh bucket weighs? When I pulled mine out, it did not seem like much.
