Help! Hydrolock??? Injectors or what??
Need some help. Totaly stumped.
Trying to avoid the "throwing parts" at the problem to find a fix.
94 stock Coupe - daily driver
Fuel injectors are 2 1/2 years old from FIC (Fuel Injector Connection)
Car ran perfectly for 45 minute out of town trip.
Parked car for 3 hours.
Came out. Attempted start and it barely ran.
Started (sorta) once - Took 3/4 pedal to keep it going.
Let off - immediate die.
After that it would just turn over - no fire.
call for tow
when they arrived a "few hours" later I tried to start.
Engine barely turned over and "Locked" - Hydrolock?
Mechanic - 3 days later pulled plugs and gas came out spark plug holes on at least 3 cylinders.
Could ALL of the injectors have failed at one time?
Mechanic thinks it was debri related that got through filter.
Wants to replace fuel pump and filter and injectors.
I am pessimistic.
Fuel pressure relay problem? ECM?
ANY HELP or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I wouldn't think 3 injectors would start leaking all at once. Maybe the fuel pressure diaphram blew allowing raw fuel to enter the intake and flooding out the cylinders.

Fuel pressure diaphagm is number one suspect here... no way 3 injectors fail at the same time.
If the FPR is fine the injectors must have been shorted open for some reason...
Oh and check and CHANGE your oil. You may have some quarts of fuel in there!

My money is on the idea that there IS fuel in the oil and it is bad for the lubrication system to be pumping an oil gas mix to lube the bearings.

All ya have to do is pull the vacuum line off the FPR and check for fuel.
Takes two seconds and its fool proof!

Thanks for all the input.
Your suggestions were spot on. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...s/thumbsup.gif
The diaphragm was ruptured badly.
Shocking how much gas was in pan.
After replacing fpr
All mechanics seem to be fine.
however...
Spark plug to one cylinder is not firing at all and others seem to have some misfiring.
Sense I have 130K on original optispark and water pump, we are going to go ahead and change these out.
(I know, its about time - LOL)
Two questions,
1. Does anyone see a link to FPR failure and what appears to be the optispark failure?
2. Since the Catalytic converts were cold, will there be any impact to having this much raw fuel flow through?
Thanks to all for your help.

1. Wouldn´t think that this is related. Did you dry all your spark plugs? How did you test the misfiring? Any codes?
2. If you did not overheat the catalytic converters they should be fine. The O2 sensors might not be so happy about all that raw fuel though...

Assuming that you windmilled the engine after pulling all the plugs?
Change the plugs.

Hoping it's unrelated. Just scared I guess. Replaced plugs.
Not sure on codes - mechanic felt they were not helpful
Since engine never ran the cats have not been hot.
Didn't think about O2 sensors.
Dumped pan contents. Lots of fuel.
Did rotate engine.
Compressed air to all cylinders to help evaporate any remaining fuel.
Oiled all cylinders and rotated before putting in new plugs
Started right up but some misfire and number 2 cylinder had no spark. Wire tests fine.
Original opti so starting there and replacing wires while there. (water pump also)
Am I missing anything?
