I posted awhile ago asking about a vibration in my car with the a/c on, and occasionally without. Someone suggested that maybe a bracket was off the back of my alternator. Well, I looked at it and remembered that when I did the BPP airpump removal kit that the brackets didn't work with the alternators new position. I think there were 2 brackets on the back of the alternator that are no longer there.

So I wonder, are the other people with the BPP kit experiencing the same sort of vibration?

Maybe I just didn't get creative enough trying to put those brackets back on.

I've read plenty of horror stories of people frying alternators this way. I added extra washers behind the bracket that connects to the header bolt. Your 85 however may be different.

Thanks. It looks the same. I'll try that in the morning. For some reason I thought the brackets didn't line up at all anymore, but I guess I was wrong.
