Default ELECTRICAL PROBLEM: I need advice re: dangerous subsecond electrical outage!

About a month ago I started experiencing complete power outage blips while driving - usually when (a) going over a bump, (b) going uphill, or (c) when the car was cold. A friend removed the battery and we found fusible links which were folded in such a way we thought might be causing the problem - so they were replaced. Still have the problem. I've been driving the car nearly a year with no electrical problems until now - the only change made just prior to this problem was to re-crimp the radar detector connector (disabling the associated fuse during the re-crimp). I have Service Manuals and would like a 2nd attempt at fixing it before I take it to the Dealership for diagno$i$. Any suggestions?????? Thanks in advance.

1st. I would check to make sure all the grounds and wire connections are tight.
2nd. Since you mentioned about the fuseable wires being crimped and straighting them out last time helped, I would say check these again VERY CLOSELY as they may have deteriorated over time and are shorting out.

Most important: DO THIS SOON Last thing we need is another post about a car catching fire!

Clean both the battery posts and the battery cable lugs. You want your battery connections to be just like your lover, bright and tight!! :D
Next, check the ground strap connection to the frame of the car near the RH side of the battery and the ground strap connection on the rear of the engine below the LH valve cover. Also, after removing the neg cable on the battery, take the nut off the jumper bolt and clean all the wires (8 I believe) with eye terminals and reconnect them. Same deal with these wires too, like your lover .
