Default Who's had problems with MagnaFlow's

So I read a couple of threads with more than 1 person having problem with the mounts tearing of the mufflers. Just wondering if this is just a few or maybe MagnaFlow has done something to correct the problem.

This is what I am looking at, any input is appreciated.

I ran MagnaFlow's catback and ORX on the 02 Mustang I had. Sounded awesome and good quality.

I have DynoMax mufflers on my car and both of them tore out the mounts. The local muffler shop welded in a strap between the beads and they'll never break again.

I have a Magnaflow cat back system and did have one of the mounts that are welded to the muffler break at the weld. Other than that no problems at all. Would recommend their product. If you do purchase the Magnaflow or any other system, make sure you keep the receipt. I would have been able to get a new muffler if I hadn't misplaced the receipt. I had a friend make a new mount.

I had the cat back system on my '91. The one mount weld started to break and loosen after a year or more. I called magnaflow and they sent a complete new system to my mechanic and did NOT require any return. I've seen other posts that they have since strengthen the mount on the system. Make sure you keep the receipt and they stand behind the product. BTW...liked system.....looks real good too!

When I had my exhaust off, I noticed cracking at one of the hanging brackets. It had been 8 years since I bought the catback, but I had the receipt.
Took the receipt and the muffler back to the local shop I bought it from.
Next day they call me to tell me that the complete catback replacement had arrived from one of their other stores.
What, the whole thing

The brackets did look a little different, so they may have made some changes.
All in all, nice product and great warranty

OK sounds like maybe they took care of the problem. They are going on a 95 6speed.

How is the drone on these? I am either going with a Melrose exhaust with cats or the Magnaflow cat back that looks like it has a resonator in the middle and some longtubes.

I had drone on my '91 (L98) it's been a while but would say between 1500 and 1800 rpm. To me it wasn't that bad, considering the overall sound, look and fit.

Thanks for the info, I also have a yellow 91 (6 speed) and was leaning towards a set of magnaflows this summer. If Mario likes them they have to be good....

I've had mine for a long time (7+ years) and have had no problem.
