Default Unknown vacuum port, 89 auto trans

I can't figure out what connects to the large vacuum port on the passengers side of the throttle body. Not the pvc port. I know what connects to the small vacuum port on the bottom of throttle body. I am thinking the large port connects to the charcoal can, but it's such a large connection at throttle body and a very small plastic line at can. While I'm thinking about it can I replace all those brittle plastic lines with rubber hoselines, will it hurt anything?
The fpr line connects to a small connection device right behind the tb and then to the small lower port on tb. Am I correct?

Yes that helps. Thanks. Still would like someone to look at theirs and get back we me if they wouldn't mind. Also still need to know if I can replace with rubber hose instead of plastic. Again, thanks to all. Trying to do most of work on car myself

I don't think you should replace plastic hose with rubber unless it is a high quality hose. The plastic wont collapse that is why I thought it was there. Anyways the schematic had me screwed up for a while because where it says hvac, it is really a short piece of rubber (2in)
hose with a 5 dollar 1 into 2 one way valve, then the hvac hooks up to one outlet and the other goes all the way across to cruise control splitter to ball and cruise unit. Mine is an 85 so of course yours may be different.
Good luck

where does the vacuum line you have marked HVAC actually go to? Mine is missing and need to run a new line but not sure where it ends up

It goes into the large loom down behind distributor you should be able to see the break if you are lucky. I suppose it goes inside to the temp

If you have a C60 manual HVAC system it goes to the HVAC control head.

If you have a C68 digital HVAC system it goes to the HVAC programmer.

Same plastic line as the air switching valve uses. It pops up from the loom and goes next to the distributor. It may be missing or altered but it may have cracked off down low, mabey even fell off and is pointing downward. In the loom I can't say which way it travels exactly.

The HVAC does not connect to that vacuum line. There is a separate vacuum line that goes through the vacuum check valve and then to the HVAC system.

This all changed from year to year, so this might not apply to you...
