Default What correct MAF symptom ?

1989 auto

What should happen when I unplug MAF with engine at idle?
My engine just quits. Is that what should happen? Trying to run down rough idle problem

No vacuum leak
New cap, rotor, plugs, wires, spark control inside HEI, CTS, IAC, new injectors, fuel pump, FPR, timing right on, idle speed set

I know I need new altenator because charging light sometimes comes on at idle. I rev it and it goes away. Goes down to 11.7 volts at times

My stalls when I unplug mine. That's normal.

Restart it with the MAF unplugged, if it runs better then there is something wrong with the MAF data signal.
