Default Stock Clutch or Stage II

I need to replace the clutch on my '92. I have the stock ZF 6-Speed and am considering boosting horsepower with the Edelbrock LT4 package (100hp base hp increase). What is the max rear wheel horsepower the stock clutch is recommended up to?

The stage II is rated up to 475 RWHP but I don't want to buy a heavier clutch if a new stock clutch would be more than enough.

If you know the specs for the stock clutch or have experience in this area, advice would be appreciated.

Get the stage 2, but I would look into other H/C setups.

I loved the feel of the kevlar stage 2 clutch when i made 355 rwhp (heads cam ltx)

It was very consistent and the release point didnt change as i accumulated miles on the car.

Everything was great until 4 yrs/ 20000 miles later when the clutch disk center suddenly broke loose from the disk while getting on it on the highway. As you could imagine, it required a flatbed home.

I bought it from carolina clutch in 02 - so hopefully that got that 'bug' fixed with them. Otherwise a great clutch
