Hi,

I'm trying to install the right side exhaust manifold on a 94 C4 but it hits the oil filler tube before I can get it into the proper location. At first glance, the oil filler tube looks like it should go on the outside of the exhaust manifold but in doing so, I would have to bend it a lot to be able to bold it to the manifold. I get leary when you start having to push or hit something hard. Should the oil filler tube go on the outside of the exhaust manifold or between the head and the exhaust manifold.

The oil fill tube is secured to one of the exhaust manifolds stud, outside the manifold. The tube will also pull from the block to install the manifold.

Thanks but I still need some more information. I've attached a picture of the exhaust manifold hitting the oil filler tube. Is the position of the oil filler tube correct or does it have to go between the head and the exhaust manifold.

I can see that the filler tube goes between the header and the manifold. Now I can get to putting on the exhaust manifold.

Thanks again for helping out. My wife will be happy to see more progress being made to getting the care running again.
