Managed to break my breaker bar trying to get the stub axle nut off.
I'll get another one and perhaps another impact gun
My battery powered one won't cut it.

FINALLY!
My neighbor had length of steel pipe that I trusted as a cheater bar.
That got the nut to move.
Got the upright off the car.
The damage looks weldable.
The shock on the other hand.
The rod is no longer centered in the body.
It probably got torqued.
I'll have to tear it down and see what's going on.

Damn... That's some carnage there!
Good job getting that stuff off by hand! I guess I've gotten spoiled with an impact gun.
You'll be back to the race in no time!

Dropped the rear shocks and upright off
Here's hoping for good news
Seems obvious that the shock bottomed out before hitting the bump stops
I'm pricing some shorter rods

Sounds like you're taking two steps backwards for every one step forward this year. Good luck with the project.

Melting Slicks
IT'S ALIVE!
No belts in between those two sizes.
So I put it back together with the belt size I was running.
I'll see how much slip I get.
May not be that much, seeing I'm only running 5psi boost.
Letting it sit overnight to check to leaks.
I'll take it for a run tomorrow.

If that was mine...
Replace the damage knuckle and have the welder add some reinforcement web to that mounting area on both knuckles.

Update
The shocks are off getting rebuilt with shorter rods
The upright is JUNK, cannot be repaired
Coming up with a different mount scheme
Of course that means buying 2 so they match.

The shocks are back from Penske.
Seems I was wrong, it did NOT bottom out.
The shock managed to take a side load.
Looking back I remember clipping an apex.
That may have started it to fail.
The pothole just pushed it over the edge.
The shock got twisted as the mount came apart.

new set of mounts is $250
then I'd have the modify them

Let me see what I can get a pair of uprights for.

FINALLY had both the time & the parts to get my car back on the road
I kept the Penskes in the back, but I went back to the factory spring no more coilovers in the back
