1.5 or 1.6" roller rockers. L-98 LPE. 219 cam
I have some D-113 heads, 3/8 screw in studs, guide plates, edelbrock valve springs, LPE. 119 duration cam w/.560" lift with 1.6 rockers. Should I go with the 1.6 or 1.5 rockers. Would the 1.6 clear the valve covers? There not stock one's but look to be stock hight. Just wondering if anyone had a problem with the 1.6 rockes not clearing a stock valve cover hight.

You'll always want as much lift as you can get, with a given duration. Choose your duration first, then maximize lift. Lift = torque. So its 1.6RR's.
Stock valve covers will be fine; you'll need to simply grind down the oil drip tabs by 2/3 or greater using a dremel, and grind in the sides of the bolt towers as well. You should be all set after that.

Did exactly that and works fine.

If those springs are singles with damper, check to see if they are recommended for anything over .520" lift.
Also check for coil bind point with that much lift; it must be enough below (your minimum installed height with 1.6:1 RRs) 1.14" if install height is 1.7".

I am running 113 heads and the 219 and 1.6 rockers on both sides. With that said I may go to 1.5 rockers on the intake side this season to bring my powerband a little lower and increase throttle response.

Scorp does this apply to engines closer to stock as well, or would i be better off with 1.6 all around?

When I contacted LPE, TPIS, and AFR about my setup, they all recommended 1.6 on both sides. But I think that by experimenting, one might find the right combo to eke out the most power possible.......
No 2 engines are identical and I feel that for my own personal engine the 1.5s may be better suited for my cylinder heads which may not have as nice of a port job as an LPE 113 may. Lift is nice if you can use it.

Great replies  What would my low end torque look like with this setup. I have a 4+3. Another reason I was considering the 1.5 rr to keep the power allitle more on the low end. But I don't think it would make a difference

red, I see you are also from Massachusetts. I should have a new clutch in my car within the next week or two. Mine is also a superam/219/1.6/full exhaust/4+3 car. When I get it broken in I'd be glad to give you a ride or let you drive it. She needs more tuning, but it is still a fun time.
