Default Optispark vs HEI Ignition

What are your thoughts on HP output. Advantages/ Disadvantages to these two types of ignitions. Maintenance and Repair ease?...

From having owned an Optispark... and have driven and worked on enough HEI cars...

HEI

Pros: simple, easy to maintain, many upgrades available, durable and reliable.

Cons: older tech, but the aftermarket has fixed those weaknesses.

OptiSpark

Pros: More accuracy and precision in timing control

Cons: hard to maintain, problematic, costly, limited aftermarket support, can fail at higher RPM.

Humm, you sorta of get what you get!

LT-1 will come with Opti and L-98 HEI. I still like like the LT-1s even if it does have the opti spark.
