Wiper blades...
I went to Advanced Auto and could not find the low profile replacement blades needed for my ZR-1. I want the exact same thing as stock, the metal frame and a good rubber blade that won't fold over.
Where do you get them????
Mark
TIA

I have also been fighting recently with this seemingly "simple" problem. What I can tell you is that the wipers sold as 'OEM Replacements" on Ecklers and Corvette Central - GM # 12363800 do NOT fit on my 1990 - they are a waste of money. The wiper will not fit under the outer stop on the drivers side.
I did a bit more research and found others had the same issue above, and recommended the "exact fit" blades.
I bought a pair of NAPA 600202 "Exact Fit". Well the drivers side is "OK" - still very tight to clear the outer stop, but I am still not at all happy with the pass side. I have adjusted the stop on the wiper arm to lower the arm as much as possible - but the passenger blade is still up against the hood - and the wiper is only touching the windshield at the ends (not in the center). I am almost tempted to bend the passenger wiper arm (to solve both problems) - but that would be a pretty "Bubba" thing to do. The other solution would be to adjust the passenger arm position so that it is above the hood (and doesn't come down to it) - but that seems like a "hack" also.
Where the heck can I get a pair of blades that fit 100%?

This is the response from my local Chevrolet dealer parts dept:
I have been looking at these wiper blades. They are 20” blades and require an adapter that GM has discontinued. The adapters are required to make the pin type blade fit the bayonet type arm.
Replacement arms with pins at the end are the way I see it going in order to use the blades I can get.
The pin type blade cost $11.67 each. The arms are for the right side $108.27 and the left side $106.18. I do not see any alternative to this update of arms. I could check with technical assistance on Monday; but they will require the VIN# or they will not help me.

Just put on a set of Trico "exact fit" 20-4. They work great. No problem with the hood clearance. Bought them at Advance Auto Parts...counter guy looked them up for me...no problems.
I like you, tried 4 or 5 low profile before i found these.

I went to the Advance Auto parts website.
It shows the Trico Exact Fit 20-2 for a '94 ZR-1.
I tried the 20-4 and this is what the site says:

I'll try each when I get back in NC from Anaheim on Tuesday.THANKS for the info.

20-2 is what I was also told was the correct part (at NAPA). It fits OK on the driver side (I bent the wiper blade frame slightly for it to clear the wiper stop.
On the passenger side - it interferes with the hood. I tries playing with the wiper arm height adjuster (set to lowest point) - I'd say it is a marginal fit at best.
It may be work trying a 20-4. If you do - let me know how you make out.

Finally got to Advance Auto today. The Trico Exact Fit 20-4 has a much bigger mounting hole that I was told was for Ford trucks.
I bought two of the 20-2 and they both seem to fit under the hood nicely and don't hit the hood when activated.
I'm off to BG tomorrow and sure as ****e, there will be rain.

Does your passenger 20-2 wiper fit UNDER the hood,or is the wiper positioned that it does not come down low enought to contact the hood?
I have set my passenger wiper arm stop to position the wiper blade as close to the wndshield as possible (but it still only touches the winshield at the outer ends).

If you install different wiper ARMS then you'll have to buy blades from that company to fit.
The previous owner of my car put ANCO wiper arms on, now the only blade Ive found that doesn't hit the hood is the ANCO.
