Mine runs great, currently just under 80K miles, and leaves you plenty in the budget to build it the way you want.

I'm in Chicago too, on the north side. If you change your mind, I'd be happy to drop the car off at any shop you like. Not much easier than that!

Some interesting cars being offered, but looking for something boosted (turbocharged or supercharged) and automatic. Will pay finders fee if someone puts me in touch with a seller that meets that criteria

Still putting it out there... My car plus a supercharger will get you what you need. There are plenty of shops familiar with supercharger installs, and it wouldn't cost you much. You'll be ready to go by spring!
