The purple wire is an alternate low voltage RPM input. If the Blue wire is connected to a low voltage RPM signal and doesn’t work, try connecting the purple wire instead.

“P” appears meaning pulses per revolution. For a V8 with the tach signal coming from the coil this should be set to 4, for a 6, set to 3 and for a 4 set it to 2.

RPM signal can be gotten from the PCM or the coil pack.
Pulse is different based on where you tap in your RPM signal.
Coil pack setting will be different than if tapped from the PCM.

I use a different switch, if I recall correctly my Trick Performance Window switch using the PCM 04 is what the equivlent P was, and if using the coil pack 00 is set.

The purple wire I read as what you would connect to the relay that is going to fire your noids. When the switch is "in window" it grounds. This is what will activate your relay to fire the noid(s). This should be put on the ground side of your Nitrous relay.

Blue wire I do not think it needs to be connected, unless you were trying to ground something when "Out of Window"

Your system should fire when the following conditions are met:

1) system is armed
2) Wide open throttle (Mechanical or TPS type switch)
3) You are within the programmed window

Do a search there are Nitrous threads with pictures and how to's.

What nitrous system do you have? It should have a diagram showing it interfacing with a relay and a window switch.

Here is a generic diagram, you will have to match the wire colors for your window switch

On the diagram shown
White is 12v +
Yellow is Ground when in Window
Green is tach signal
Black is ground

Blue TPS you do not have

I would start with 4 as the pulse.
