I had a similar problem. I got the A&A fuel system and haven't had any more problems at all. After ya get stranded along the highway two times you do what ya got to do to make sure it doesn't happen again. I will tell ya that my shop said that they thought it was just a wiring issue. Again I got tired of fu(king with it.

Yeah…. I have stranded quite a bit. Thank God for AAA. Right now my budget won't allow for a new fuel ⛽ system upgrade. That will have to wait until my new budget comes in around tax season hehe. For now I need to replace the fuel ⛽ pump Anyways. So just wanted to see what I should buy.

Get the Lingenfelter 225lph pump, it goes in the stock location and you can use the BAP on it. That should cover you to 650 rwhp no problem and reliable as a stock pump.

***EDIT***

I just realized your car is an 04, he LPE 225 pump won't work for you. Sorry about that.

LOL. Yup. I was about to reply on that fact. But I heard that A and A corvette had found a solution to that problem. I already have the racetronix fuel harness upgrade. Just waiting on being able to get ahold of Josh over at A and A Corvette.

We talked this morning, but for others reading, he is checking with Lingenfelter about a drop-in pump option from a C6Z06.

I am needing to change my belt soon. I have the newer upgraded bracket, Does the head unit need to come off? I heard it does not but to loosen the 3 bolts on the inside of the bracket to loosen the tension. Is this correct information. My car is a 2002 vette. Thanks

I still prefer to do it like this myself.

Here is a cool tech tip. Using a 1/2" extension or piece of round aluminum can help lock the automatic tensioner in place and allow you more slack in the belt to get it installed or removed easier. This trick can be used on the bench before installing s/c or in the car before removing tension off the belt.

Default 10 rib balancer

Okay my car is in the shop doing a 10 rib balancer keeping the 6 rib belt. I have 2000 C5 with 2 piece blower bracket and the balancer won't clear the bracket. What do I need to make it work? Bracket spacers to 10 rib and pullies for the blower bracket so they align properly? I am planning ysi with flip drive and 10 rib in the future but not at this time.

Thanks,
Robert

You will need everything to convert the bracket to 10-rib, idlers, spacers, hardware, billet tens, S/C pulley. That's the only way it will line up and still be able to run the 6-rib belt on grooves closet to the engine side.

10-rib upgrade for C5 2pc bracket with billet auto tensioner.
$400

10-rib SC pulley tell me what size you want
$100

The hose on the T shaped heater hose on my install is touching the supercharger itself, will that cause any issues?

I just bought a '99 Coupe with your Supercharger kit and I must say it's the most fun I've had in a Corvette. The detailed information here just made me more excited, your attention to detail and craftsmanship is amazing.

Hey Josh n Andy, I ot ur 8 rib sec drive kit installed, fuel problem fixed, 99% meth going. Produced 580rwhp & 509TQ. However, my 9 month old Performabuilt level 3 4L60E trans decided it didn't like it. Even though the trans is rated for 800rwhp its torched, trans temp light came on and no more 3rd or 4th gears. No leaks, full fluid, just didn't like the reliable power that the 8 rib provided by getting rid of belt slip. They are going to rebuild it, but I'll probably sell it unless they pay for the labor as well.

Any recommendations on a trans? I am leaning towards RPM just don't know which level or just thinking of biting the bullet and doing the manual swap. Ive got the Z06 3.42 rear diff in to match whatever route I go.

RPM all the way. Call and talk to Jeremy and see what he recommends for your particular setup. I'd stay auto if you ever like to drag race. If you just like to play around on the street then maybe consider the manual swap.

Talked to him this evening. Going to drive over and drop the car off this week. Rpm is only 2 hours from my house. Level 6 since I'll never go over 700rwhp

Would I need the external fuel system to support your stage 2 cam with your black out kit on a 3.8 pully on a c5z or will the boost a pump be enough?
