Default Initial A&A vs Magnuson impressions.

Just took delivery of a 99 auto coupe with the A&A kit. The kit was just put on about 1,500 miles ago. Very mildly tuned to 480rwhp. I had a 01 maggie MP112 6 speed coupe with 487rwhp. First off, the build quality of the A&A kit is excellant. Great fit and finish. The car drivers just like a stock LS1 under 2500 rpm's. The power hit does come at a high rpm with the Vortech unit. The maggie did have a broader torque curve. I was able to give the car some juice earlier today, and the car pulls so strong up top. There is simply no traction in first gear, and the car will get loose shifting into second. Sound is totally different, the maggie was super loud. The A&A kit sounds good, but not too loud. So far I am very impressed. I am adding a tranny cooler in the spring, and that will be the finishing touch.

Cool - I'm installing one of those now.

20 minutes ago, I saw a silver C5 coupe just like yours drive by our building and thought, "What an awesome beauty that is!"

Great-looking C5 you have.

I've enjoyed my V3-Si for over a year now...great set-up! 20,000 miles on it at least and it's the best upgrade to install.

I had A&A install my SuperCharger last February. Love it!
Every Corvette should run like this (at least). What a feeling when it really starts to 'pull'...

wait until you pulley down and really get going. 490 is barely cracking the potential. Turn it up and let it eat. Congrats

I agree. I'll have to get the 4l60e built first.

Had the V3-Si trim installed on my stock LS6 (LT headers/CAI) boy did it wake that thing up. There's a lot of cars in here making big hp #'s but the little V3 on a stock motor does the job

Conrgats on the car. I also had a v3-si on my ls6 and it made 618hp stock with no meth. We added a cam and it made 715hp but the ls6 didn't last long like that. Even still that was a bad little blower and quiet. When I rebuild my ls6 For my impala I'm gonna looking into putting a v3-si back on it

Had the car about 10 days now, and I am still impressed with the A&A kit. Only thing that is bugging me is that the car is picking up leaves like crazy. Car is very docile around town and in traffic, especially being an automatic. Going to go ahead and change the supercharger oil this weekend. The kit only has around 2000 miles.

Great looking ride, I also run the v3 SI, I've had it on for a little over two years now, she still runs like the day it was finished, and for a street driven car I can't imagine needing anymore power, getting close to 30 Mpg out of 650 RWHP car ain't bad either
