Next problem arises. I need a radiator, found out after filling mine today that its leaking. So, obviously theres the dewitts out there, what are some tried and true radiators, also since my car is an auto should I get one with a cooler, or just run the b and m cooler it has now as a stand alone?

Run the B&M cooler (70297 I think) with the fan as a stand alone. Don't put the trans fluid in the radiator, they'll both run hotter then need be.

As for the radiator, pick your point. Get a stock replacement pretty cheap or a Dewitt.. I have the Dewitt (I own 2 of em) and they are very nice quality, but honestly it doesn't seem to cool my C5Z any better then the stock radiator did. It does work well for the 4" blower inlet tho.

SHE LIVES, small little phone video of the initial start. Now just need to finish the small things left, I attempted to make my own steam ports for the rear of the heads, the gm steam ports are on back order and none of the yards around here have them. The one leaks a small amount so I just bought the c and r ports. Car has noticeably more lope then I thought it would.

I was hoping for more install pictures and info for the 383 part of the build. Can you explain what all goes into that, and post pictures or videos? I guess what i really want to know is if it requires an engine builder or can I do it myself. I am not car mechanic, I was a helicopter mechanic for 6 years, and I can follow instructions. Do you know the improvements you got from the 383 part of the build?

I went to the 383 simply because I got a black Friday deal for the crank. It would be a 347 otherwise. You have to clearance the block for the rods when doing the 4 inch crank. I did it with a hand file in my garage. If you can work on a helicopter then you could do this. The block will need to be cleaned and machined. I know what helicopter machanics do. I find it funny how you guys never seem to have bolts left over haha.

Few shots of the car, little dirty now after driving it, paint came out really good for as bad as it was.

Car will officially be on the dyno for tuning on the 28th, getting tuned by dynotune in Columbus OH.

I put a second trans cooler in the car and connected the b&m fan to a switch, temps do not go over 160 cruising in stop and go, coolant temps are up a little from blocking in some of the radiator with the cooler, going to do a shroud to funnel air in. Also put an oil cooler on, got a 5 psi drop in pressure from that, however the pressure seems more stable which I am OK with. Hopefully nothing breaks lol. We shall see. There will be lots of videos.

Trans temp down from 230 to 160 degrees, heck yeah!
