Default Anyone running Hoosier Radial on CCW Drag Pack?

Any info would be much appreciated. Thinking about running Hoosier D.O.T. Drag Radial 295/50-16 Tire 17326 on my rear 16" CCW drag pack. Currently have 28" bias Hoosier on them.

I run that tire, it works pretty well on a good prepped track. Still spins from a 60 roll a little on the street but it's the best tire I've had yet. Only thing I haven't tried is the 15" 275 PRO.

We run that tire as well and like it. I've also used it on 2 other cars prior to this one. As stated if the track prep is marginal a radial won't typically hook as well as a bias tire. However, the radial should MPH better on the top end because it doesn't grow.

Our best 60' is 1.50 and that's with 370 rwhp. The only time we tried nitrous (500 rwhp on a 100 shot and NANO) it blew the tires off instantly. We have a progressive controller on the car now but haven't been able to test it.

Very good tire IMHO.

Thanks for the input. Not sure if its time to go Welds with the LG spindles or try the Hoosiers.

I went 1.35 60' on a soft pass on the 295 hoosiers...Could have easily gone a 1.2x 60' if the rear end would stay together. My converter flashes to 5200 and it makes 800rwtq there so....

Good track, these suckers hook. I'd say the only thing better would be the 275 Pros on 15s.

I run that setup. Leave on idle or a light foot brake to about 2k before it pushes through the brakes. As long as the psi is right (17-18psi) it does fine. If the psi creeps up past that it spins pretty bad just past the 60ft.

Never had them on the street though, I run a Mickey DR 345/18 on the street...which is basically useless, but damn fun!

Not really what he was asking guys. We all know the 275pro is a better tire, but it only comes in the 15 inch size, and the cost to swap to that is not small.

Running 28" Hoosier bias tires now and have had good traction with half throttle launches. New RPM tranny in now and want to nail it off the line.

28 x 11.5 16" on CCW rim. I pull the inner fenders out and crank down the spring in the back to raise up the car as high it will go. Will work on getting a picture up for you.

RPM X 4L60. Did not make the move guys. Ended up buying a new set of bias Hoosiers. Will let you know if I have traction issues.

Stock suspensions. I just raise the car up in the back on the stock bolts.

I know this an old post. Just wanted to let you guys know I did not have any traction issues with the bias tires and the new set up. Also I ended up moving over to the Hoosier quick time 295 radial and hooked up with them as well.

Exactly what I use. What did you find works best for you as far as tire pressure?
