The 1/2 events are a blast. My recently planned 1/2 ( Omega Midwest) had way to much rain for me to run so I sold my spot. They still ended up running but way later in the day.

You may have mentioned it before but do you have a c6 Z06 ratio TR6060? Or custom?

Car definitely has more in it and 167 isn't bad at all. I was able to hit 168 with stock c5Z ratio trans and dif with a 27inch 305/35/19 DR and was pretty deep into 5th. 715rwhp/605rwtq tho the dyno is generally about 5% lower than a dyno jet

Were you hitting 167 in 4th? I too worry going down in the rear end may hurt you.

I have yet to run a 1/2 on my new trans C6 z1-4, Zr1 5-6 with all other items the same.

They are a blast. Not everyday you get to see cars hit 200mph+

Nice! I'll be shooting for 170+ in Sept.

Man those are good speeds with a c5z trans. I could not get over 162mph and that was shifting into 5th about 50 yards out in my rpm t-56 trans.

Were you hitting 167 in 4th? I too worry going down in the rear end may hurt you. Yes, I was at 7200rpm in 4th when I crossed the traps. I also switched from a 26' tire to a 28' tall tire which helped some.

It's a night a day difference from teh C5Z trans to the C6 Tr6060. You will enjoy it alot more. One thing if you have not done it yet get you MGW Flat Stick shifter that thing is the iceing on the cake.

I love the new ratios. Granted I now have a Gforce t56 which is not quite as smooth and quiet as a Tr6060 because of the 9310 Gear material and cut type but I do love the new ratios which are identical to yours except 5th and 6th are shorter and taken from a ZR1.

Ive got the MGW shifter with MGW lower box and really like it.

What size tyres are you using ? Why are you needing such a tall diff to hit those speeds ?

My 00 FRC (800rwhp)had a manual, and I put a 2.73 gear in the car. It honestly made the car more usable, and really hard for anyone to beat from any speed. Now...although I haven't driven the car past 40mph....I have a new ZR1 trans(6060) with a C6Z06 3.42 diff gear. It will be I am guessing very different when it comes to how the car is going to work. Also laying down a decent amount of more power so I am expecting a difficult time ahead vs what I had before. I am wanting to go to a 3.15 or a 3.08 but I am not sure anyone makes them yet(RPM probably) once I get the car all dialed in and working as is.

Changing to a 2.73 gear on my turbo car was a night and day difference. I(i'll) use the car on the street...and runways.

Thanks for the info let me know how the new set up goes. I would like a C6 diff but 3k for a RPM unit plus I would need a c6 cradle along with coil overs. Way more than I wont to spend at this moment.

Well my buddy at Glasslife Atlanta washed, waxed the getting it ready for the four coats cermamic coating to give the car that permanent wet look(should be 5mph faster now haha). Next the car will be going back to the shop and having gears, shifter and parachute installed. We are also going to an 8 rib setup and pulleying down to a 2.85. After speaking with Jeremy at Rpm about my setup and goals I went with a 3.15 gear. This gear will easily put me in the 185+mph and potentially in the mid 190's with more power.

with your stock diff out back, were the 3.15 gears really expensive with the larger output shaft from the 6060? We were wanting to do that as well but had heard the price was crazy for gears that would work.

Compared to the price of gears for an fbody yes they are very expensive. I'm looking at about $1100 for gears and rpm installing then in the diff. Then add $280 for shipping shipping and another $350 for my shop to install the diff back in my car. Right at $1700

If I go with the 2.93 just the gears are $1000 dollars

Update.... The car has been apart for a little over a year (my own doing) and we are finally starting to get parts in and Lsxperts should be ready to get it back on the road here soon! This round of modifications started out as just a RPM Powerglide and a Diff swap but turned into much more.

Along with the Powerglide we are doing a 15in conversion using Carlyle Racings Spindles, Strange Brakes, Menscer Coilovers and 15x10 Forgestar F14.

Next, I sold the ECS Supercharger Kit and we are going turbo We will be using a Precision 88mm Turbo, Holley Hi Ram and air to water intercooler.

Lsxperts will be doing all the fab work.

Below are a few pictures of the parts. Once the car gets moved to a rack I will try my best to get updated pictures

Not the actual one we will be using, just posted to give y'all an idea of the setup

Me to, the shop I use has a glide in their C5 and it is handling over 2500hp just fine. I can not wait to see how it works with my setup.
