Here's one of the prettiest Z06 conversions I've ever seen; plus, completely done in the USA! http://www.hashmarks.com/2002Z06/

Expensive yes, but it's all relative, and like most fine things in life.

Fit, finish and attention to detail is second to none.

I'm fortunate enough to live close to John Caravaggio's shop, and I've seen the attention to details he puts into this kit.

All the panels are made at the shop.
Then all the panels are custom and hand tweaked to fit and finish that would rival that of a BMW. All the panels are then taken off and sent for paint of the customers choosing. Then all the panels are then bolted back on, and all of the inner fenders are sealed with caulking.
It takes Caravaggio almost 6 months for a Widebody kit from beginning to end.

He's only done about 7 of them.

Rear is 6" wider than stock, and front is 3" wider.

Holds a 345 tire in the rear, no tub required!

Here are a few shots of my Widebody I got back just a few weeks ago.
Panels were made of Composite Fiber, so their lighter than stock!
When you driving around and pull into a parking lot, you get stares like your coming in with a car that people have never seen before. . . .

Imagine having that conversion done and then being flamed for putting Z06 badges on a Vert

Owner roadraces this car.

Wing is not there for looks.

Notice the 18" rims instead of the 19&20" rims the kit comes standard with.

When I spoke to Caravaggio last year, at the time he said he converted 44 Z06's to convertibles.

I would love to do the Caravaggio Targa conversion to my FRC, but the cost of the conversion is $6495.00 and if you want to buy the kit to do it yourself it is still $3495.00. At least the kit is set up so the targa top stores in the trunk of the Vette like a normal coupe. Still sure seems like a lot of money for something that doesn't look overly involved. Has anybody bought the kit and done it themselves or had a local body shop do the conversion for them?
