headlight motor
well, my other headlight motor bit it pretty hard.. for like a week when i would turn off the headlights it would just grind for about 4 seconds after it shut.. and finaly stopped working period but still grinds, for even longer then i turn them off. im assuming i have to replace the motor? any idea how much that would cost/could i do it myself and i have been wanting to just go ahead and replace the flip-up lights with the c6 type lights (how much would that cost me) - thx

You don't need to replace the motor. You can fit the brass gear kit from Rodney Dickman much more cheaply:
http://www.rodneydickman.com/retail.html
Go to the electrical tab and the Corvette 97-04 Brass Gear kit.
Run down to the headlight gear section of this sticky and you'll see a description with pictures.

I'll throw in my two cents with the write up I did a short time ago.
