Default The Magic Healing Power of the Corvette.

We just bought our 99 coupe a month ago. My wife (of 35 years) hasn't driven it yet. She's had both a 57 and 59 but this is our first together. Last Sunday she collapsed at home due to an ulcer bleeding her out. When she got to the hospital she had a BP of 60 over 40. The ICU staff tried everything they knew and nothing seemed to work, she kept crashing. At one point I knew I was telling her good-bye.I was there with her and kept telling her to fight etc. I finally told her she couldn't go now because she HAD to drive the new car and immediately and miraculously everything started working. From being on a respirator and at death's door within 24 hours she was off all the aids and was setting up in bed and smiling as she ate dinner! She's home now and doing great. The doctor and ICU staff can't explain the turn around and just smile and shake their heads.

I know what worked, she wants to drive the new vette, and her angel wants to ride along.

Glad your wife is getting well. Thanx for sharing the story. Yes.....Vettes do have a special healing power- I feel it every time I step inside and turn the key.

i AM SO HAPPY FOR BOTH OF YOU. After 35 years together, I bow to both of you. It is rare to hear partners together that long.

You need each other and get her behind that wheel. She will love you even moore for it. Mark

Very nice happy ending. BP 60/40 in the setting of acute GI bleed is scary to be mild about it. Make sure to follow your follow-up care plan carefully.

Great story. Some words have a magical effect, like "Corvette", "credit card", "shopping".....
