extended performance high mileage mobil 1
so theres 3 different kinds of mobil 1 synthetic oil at local parts store. original mobil 1 ,extended performance mobil1 ,and high mileage mobil 1. all synthetic. so my guess is any of these would be ok for my 75,000 mile 98. thinking about going with high mileage any thoughts???

Isn't marketing a wonderful thing? Close your eyes and pick one. You're covered.

Only the original fully synthetic Mobil 1 meets the GM4718M standard for the Corvette, and that's the only one I use.
Take a look at Mobil's web site and see for yourself.

I would go with the high mileage. Its a thicker oil and with high mileage cars, the parts are beginning to wear down (piston rings, valve seals etc). The thicker oil will will stay where it supposed to be and not leak through the seals like the thinnner oil will with high mileage.

Stick with standard Mobil 1.
M1 Extended Mileage does not meet GM spec and sounds like it's for engines that have been somewhat abused:

Mobil 1 High Mileage is designed especially for engines where conventional oil has been used, and where these conditions have been experienced:
Extended Performance is marketing hyped as well as doesn't meet GM spec.
