Default Dash Glare

Are these black dashes just this bad with glare?

I don't have anything on my dash to make it shine yet it throws a glare on the windshield that is highly annoying.

No way will I put a dash mat on it either so any other ideas?

Mine doesn't bother me! I'm wondering if someone didn't put Amorall on it at some time?

I know what you said about the dash-mat, but had one until just a week ago for five years when I had my windshield replaced.

I noticed the glare too - since I had none when I had the dashmat.

Frankly, the windshield has a very steep rake and the glare is troublesome, but if you don't like the glare and you don't want a dashmat, I think you'll have to live with it and get used to it.

If you have Amorall on with high sheen, try cleaning that off, then re-apply Amorall with low sheen. It will give it a satin type finish.

I wear polarized sun glasses when driving in bright sunlight. It helps a lot.

Never had a problem with mine. Might want to try and clean it really well with some mild soap and water and see if that helps.
