I have a dead sensor in my RF wheel. My car is a 2001.
1. Should I just replace that one sensor, or, would it be wise to replace them all?
2. Where should I buy them?

You have an '01, so your sensors are 8+ years old. Probably not much life left in them, but it's really up to you whether or not you want to replace them all. One good thing is that they are the cheaper version of the sensors to buy.

I did not try and reset the sensor, yet. I did come across something regarding the TPMS and all their quirks, but have not been able to commit anything to memory yet.
Should I just take a strong magnet and hold it to the valve-stem?
Yes, I did read that 8 +/- years is a long time already and as I do not know the history of what is what on this car/ 2-weeks old to me now, it might be good for me to bite-it and while the car is in, get all 4 sensors replaced and the wheels balanced for peace of mind.

I'd say unless your changing the tires for new ones just swap them out as they die. Just note which one you changed. A stem on one of mine broke and I just changed that one. The rest are still going strong after 7 years.
A strong magnet will work. I used the magnet in an old car speaker and it worked fine. Follow the sequence through to reprogram all of the sensors.

It is working, again? If I recall, the "lost-sensor" for the LF came up sometime on my drive Friday night, I reset it and didn't think much of it. I drove back, 125 miles, plus another 100 miles on Sunday. This morning on my glorious drive to work on wet roads and light mist, right after I spent the past 2 nights waxing the ride, I noticed that all was well and the DIC was registering the LF TPMS, so I guess it is ok for now.

i was able to get the best price for the sensors via my local chevy dealer. with the shipping cost being charged, the dealer is cheaper, just bought mine last week.
