Problem: I was washing my car and realized that my driverside axle/half shaft boot is torn and has been making a clicking noise in the recent days.




Question: I was wondering if anyone ever sent there axle to be rebuilt using a specialization shop? (Cv-Shaft Shop, *Lots of these in Houston, TX) [I had a few rebuilt on some FWD cars a while ago and they held up for years, until the cars sold.]

Any of the major parts houses will have rebuilt axles on an exchange basis. Pull your old one and swap for a rebuilt - quick and easy and cost effective.
