Default 99 FRC rims

New here to the C5 Board. I currently own a 62 and 90 vette. Just bought a 99 FRC in California and its getting shipped. I noticed that my first modifcation will be the rims. It is coming with the stock wagon wheels. Any good suggestions to go on a Pewter FRC? Also, there are newer tires on the stock rims, will they fit on another rim?

The tires will work on rims of similar size, wheel options are numerous, factory reproductions, HRE, CCWs and many more to choose from

Black c5z or c6z wheels. If you want to spend money get some ccw classics.

How's this for reference? These are Z06 sizes and they look awesome from the rear. If you're like me and on a "toy" budget, they're very affordable from lots of aftermarket vendors. I lowered my FRC on stock bolts to give it a better stance too. Gets lots of thumbs up. Welcome to the FRC club!

This is mine with C6 Black Rims. Purchased them from Luke at the Tire Rack. You will not need spacers if you order the 11" wide rear wheels

If I changed mine, it be to these.^^^

To the OP. I have decals on my rims and they sure improve the looks. Just throwing out ideas.

I went from a 90 to a 99 FRC myself. The stock wheels on the 90 were hands down the best looking wheel ever put on a vette. IMO

Thanks for all the input guys. Very beautiful FRC's by the way. Sure is a tough choice between the chrome and black, they look great any way you go. I did a quick google on the z06 rims and they seemed to run about $190 a wheel. How much are the aftermarkets? Do you think my tires will fit? I currently have:

Rear Tires Are Sumitomo HTRZ-2 275/40ZR18
Front Tires Are Ventus 245/45ZR17

Appreciate all the help I can get!

Click on My Albums on my avatar page.

I have magnesiums on my '99 Pewter FRC.

Enlarge the pic for a better effect.

I like them, I get compliments..................

Your front tires the Ventus 245/45ZR17
will fit a 17 inch wheel that is 9.5 inches wide
Your rear Tires HTRZ-2 275/40ZR18
will fit an 18 inch wheel that is 10.5 inches wide
Tires Are Sumitomo HTRZ-2 275( how wide the tire is)/40(says how tall the side wall is) R18(stands for the rim size the tire fits)

Cray wheels, made exclusively for Corvettes in the perfect sizes for your tires. These are what I want to buy

The black/polished lip would look really cool on a Pewter FRC

Pinnacle has them on sale

I went with the 2000 polished thinspokes. I like them. The stock TPMS and tires swapped over to them too.

I also agree with RetiredSFC 97 that the 90 wheels are great. I put them on my 88 and then on my 94. I have heard that they may fit on a C5, but I have not tried it yet.

Polished thin spokes are a tasteful and affordable alternative!!
