Why is it that you sometimes need the resistors for the headlights to function properly?

You will need them all the time if you desire the buckets to close with lowbeams on. Otherwise you need to switch to the highs to close them

I still do not understand why adding a plug and play light would cause the headlights to not operate properly? I really want to order a pair, but hate the idea of patching in resistors for this mod and then adding resistors for the switchback LED's etc.

Its because HID and LED bulbs use less power than standard halogens. The car thinks the bulbs are burned out so the resistors trick the car into thinking regular bulbs are installed. We have run resistors in Vettes for years without any issue. We include quick connect clips that allow you to attach the resistors without cutting or soldering. Its really not a big deal and you can always bring the car back to stock when you want.

this will give you an idea of what they look like. I'll get better pictures later.
Remember, it's 28* outside, and the car is not running.
The ISO is 6400, so I could hand hold to take the shot.. So not very clear.. but you get the picture.

The lighting on the floor is the LED.. The lighting of the seat,, is the stock lighting off the map light.

Again, not hard to install. And the price and product are excellent, along with the finish look!!

I have the SLC setup from RadioFlyer. Are your lights 35 or 55w? Any issues running these two setups?

35w to reduce heat. No compatibility issues that we are aware of

Ok so i have the foglight HID's installed ..girlfirend got them for me for the holidays.. i was laying everything out to get ready for the install and muttered under my breath about my hand being to big to fit in some of the places for the install and she just jumped in there and yes i will admit it ..she did the foglight upgrade ... it worked then went out ... turns out i blew the fuse ..2x ... i up'd the fuse to 15amp .. and everything seems fine ..anyone see an issue with this ... low beam HID are to follow ... ran out of day light ...

I couldn't resist from hitting submit.... With the HID lows, the fog lights look like crap.
