Default which CLB is best?

I know, I know, I know. BUT:

My CL works fine now, but I want to install a CLB as preventative maintenance. Simple question.... Which is the best: LMC5 from Compliance Parts, CLB from Corvettes of Houston, or Thunder Racing Column Lock Simulator. Why did you choose the one you did?

I'm assuming they all essentailly do the same thing, though the LMC5 seems easier to install since it doesn't live under the steering wheel.

Also, those who have installed the Compliance Parts CAGS-skip... are you happy with it? Any issues?

thanks

A far as I know, no one has ever reported an after market CLB falure...
I had the one from Corvettes of Houston in my 2000, it was simple to instal and never failed.

The only one of those three that I have tried was the one from Thunder Racing - ran it for probably 6 years on my '00 and never had any issues with it.

I've searched and read... My question is probably a tough one since most have probably only run one of the three setups, so they really can't compare the three against each other.

I was looking more to hear if those who've installed the various models had problems with the one they chose. Seems like at least the LMC5 has had some issues from that particular post.

If I'm pulling apart the interior to fix this, I only want to do it once. To me, this is not a fun "mod", it is a preventative measure to fix a GM failure.

Related, installing the CAGS bypass is also not a mod... It is to eliminate a nuisance.

I can tell you that the LCM5 is the easiest to install. The problem with them is that some of the BCM's will turn on the Pull key message. Mind did and they sent me a LMC5R and it solved the problem. You can install them in a few minutes so if yours is one the cars that has to have the "R" unit its no big deal. You disconnect the relay to the lock so it will never lock again even if the bcm isn't happy. If your column locks now get the unlocker when you order the unit.

Thanks Txsailor. I was thinking I'd give the LMC5 a try since it looked so easy to install. Plus, I think I'll go for their cags-skip at the same time.
