car in storage for winter I feel lost so empty....
Ok so it happened. Put my vette away in storage yesterday about 2 hours away in a garage. Took off the targa top, topped up the gas added seafoam disconnected the battery added bounce sheets and a few mice traps and put the car cover on. Now I feel so lost and alone without it here. Spring seems so far away...how do you guys deal with the winter blues without the vette? Feels like a bad breakup.

Sorry to here about your breakup, Spring will come soon. I have a heated
& AC garage so I see her very day, will take her out New Years day for a ride (tridition) if the roads are good, then put the cover on her for acouple of months.

Yes , but it's too hot there in the summer to put the top down so it seems that everywhere has some disadvantage. On the east coast we have great summers, just have to put up with a couple bad months.

Although I live in the "snow belt", I'm still hoping to get a few more rides in, before I have to park it....

after buying mine in July it was hard to store mine. Its in my garage so I can check on it but will be a long winter!! I left the battery in with a trickle charger hooked up to it>>> is it better to remove the battery?

The manual says to remove ground cable if it is not going to be driven for more than 25 days, so I took the battery out and keep it in the basement at a constant 65 degrees. A lot of people use battery tenders instead. You make the call.

Leave the battery in. Use a Battery Tender or equivalent device. Plenty of info here. Do a search.

Depends how cold it gets. It gets 30 below zero here. Better to keep battery at a constant 65 degrees in the house. Manual says to disconnect battery if not driven for 25 days.

I have a suggestion.....

I have suggestion. Why not try to buy a model of your vette and put it together. That's what I'm doing!

It's still in the 40's here. As long there is no salt on the roads, I'm driving it. Took it for a spin after dissapoiting Bears loss today, sure made me feel better.
