Default Leather seat covers

Does anyone have any experince with the leather seat covers
sold on e bay for $475 by exotic leather.com? Also is there a difference between
automotive grade leather and 100% leather. Does anyone sell 100%
leather for the C5

I didn't get the leather ones, but I am having their synthetic leather ones installed. The seats have been at the shop for about two weeks, just waiting to be called to pick them up. I plan on posting pics too.

If they are anything like the synthetic covers, you are going to be very happy. Very good quality and craftsmanship for the money.

Have not had any experience with those particular seat covers, but I can say the ones from Vette Essentials are 100% leather and top quality at that.

What did it cost you to have them installed?

Just to let everyone know that I installed 100% leather ones before and its very easy and a fun project If you want to save a buck or two. Go to vette essentials and you can get step by step installation. Taking your time, It takes about hour and a half to two hours to do one seat.

I got the leather ones from exotic a couple of months back and they were very nice quality. 100% leather. Put them on myself.

My wife ordered me a set for Christmas, they sent the box, and it was full of old cloth pieces. It was a great surprise!!! We are now trying to correct the situation, and hopefully get them soon.

Bought a set off of e bay from LC leather seats for $300- and paid another $300- to have them professionally installed. Upholsterer said they were very good quality and he did a great job on the install. Nice and tight. So for $600- can afford a new pair every 3 years, lol.

$200..I didn't want to do them for fear of messing them up. I would rather pay for someone to do the install and do it right. The shop I'm having them installed at came highly recommended. They are located in Indianapolis, IN..about an hour and half drive for me. I have relatives so I can drop in and see them too.

I got my 100% leather covers from them in the mail yesterday and I love them! I ordered the covers in all black with red stitching. I ordered them without logos on the headrest and without the red stripe on the seat base. This leather and stitching matches great with the pieces that I ordered from Redlinegoods.com I installed them myself today and wow what a difference they make to the look of the interior.

Here's a pic showing my stock seat bottom beside the new seat bottom. The new leather on the right feels great.

(new on the top and old on the bottom)

(again showing stock on the left and new on the right)

The fit and finish is great. I have absolutely no regrets. I need to make a few tweaks and I'll post more with these in my car.

The pic above has some cutouts showing on the old cover, are all the cutouts made in the new covers or do you have to do those?

You have to cut 3 holes for the seat switch and one hole for the seat recline behind the headrest. That was the part I was worried about the most but if you take your time it's not to hard to do.
