Dark Bowling Green

Dark Bowling Green
Been doing some research for my first vette. Pretty much got it narrowed down to a C5 in the $15K or less range. I have read up on Colors and their production numbers. I want a low production color, definitely no red or pewter for sure. I have leaned towards Millennium yellow and Electron Blue. I have noticed the Dark Bowling Green is a low production amount. I have seen a few for sale and one being local here in St. Louis. Is Dark Bowling Green a sought after color or well liked? Most seem to have light oak interior which isn't appealing to me. I would like to hear your guys thoughts!
Also, are there any rare options I should look for on the Service Parts identification now that I know where that is located. Color and glass tops are appealing I me and I'm not a fan of magnesium wheels. I don't like their color.
Thank you for all the opinions!!!!

I saw a sweet one a few weeks ago for sale in North Florida. It was automatic though, not sure if you want auto or manual.
My personal opinion is that it appeals to me that it is a low production color and it the super bright light it looks pretty good. That said, I think the reason it was a low production color is because the popular opinion is that it doesn't look as good as some of the other colors.
As for the light oak, most of those I have seen had light oak interiors. Black on Dark Green doesn't have much contrast or pop.
I do understand your thinking though and if you like it then go for it. If you like it and enjoy having a color that is rarely seen then go for it!

Why don't you get a color that you like? If everybody chimes in that they like green best is that what you want? When we started looking we wanted a green one but knew it would be a tough find with low miles and did not want a highly modded car so we kept our radar open to all cars although like you I was not a red or pewter fan or even black as we had 2 other black cars at the time, we ended up finding our low mile & stock Nassau Blue car and could not be happier it is like they say when you find it you will know it. Good Luck with your search.

personally I like the bolling green. During the day it's green and as the sun goes down it starts looking black.

The Dark Bowling Green Metallic color is really a very nice color on the C5. Yes, it is a low production color and certainly not as popular as red, black, white, etc. I've not seen any that did not have the oak interior though - but then again, I think the oak goes well with the exterior color.
What it all comes down to is buy something you really like - doesn't matter what we think as it's not our money.

My opinion is you want a car you can talk about. I would never buy a car because of how rare something is unless it's a perceived investment and I want to just be different. Realize I don't know if those are your goals but that's all I can gather from your post.

Bought my 97 Fairway Green in Sept. with 9800 miles, previous owner was great with keeping car in great condition, paid $20,000.00. Has Black interior with sport seats, like the black, but thinking about 2 tone red seats to make it pop.

For me the choice was between speedway white (z06) or fairway green coupe. I went with fairway green / black 6 speed. I haven't seen another one in person, yet.

Greens are rare because they did not sell. Personally, I love green, but resale can take a big hit if the car is not some shade of red, white, blue, grey, or black.

I have a 2000 Bowling green with the half oak interior. It wasn't my first choice for the colors but they have really grown on me. Everyone will think your car is black until you tell them its green or they go stand by it in direct sunlight. In the light it looks pretty sweet with the green and a copper metallic paint.
