FAQ LG Motorsports Street Series vs Super Pro's
Hi guys,
All of you know the product but I know a lot have questions about the different sizes and setups as we do make a few different models for the C5, C6, and C6Z06/ZR1 Corvette's.
Street Series vs Super Pro's which one is right?
For most customers the Street Series is going to cover any and all of your needs. These can support up to 450 rwhp with no real restriction or change in power from a Super Pro. Great for bolt on and mild cam setups.
Why go with Pro's over Streets on a basically stock car?
In some cases you might be limited to rules of a racing class or just trying to pull the most that you can from a certain setup. In this case the better collector, X pipe, and larger mid section can help the car breathe at those higher RPM ranges and you can even see a 2-6 hp gain with the Pro's on a basically stock car.
Will it connect to my stock mufflers?
Yes, both systems are designed as a 100% bolt on kit to tie into your stock mufflers, or a stock replacement. Even if you order the Super Pro's for a standard base model the pipes are designed to neck down to your stock mufflers with no adapters required.
Can I use a C6Z06 kit on my base model C6?
The C6Z/ZR1 kits are only offered in the Super Pro's and yes these will install on any base model C6 Corvette. However they would require a C6Z06/ZR1 fitment muffler to make this a complete bolt on. This is only suggested for manual transmission cars as the automatics typically require modifications to the mufflers to clear the transmission. Ask your sales person for details and some of the 02 extensions are different lengths for this conversion.
1 3/4 vs 1 7/8?
This topic can be a little more in depth depending on the setup. Rarely would it be worth while to go with the 1 7/8 on a 5.7, 6.0, or 6.2L unless we are dealing with a highly modified engine setup. In some cases you can boil it down to power levels, in others it might depend in the RPM range of the engine you are building. Even on an LS7 you may find the 1 3/4 produce more power and torque under the curve than a 1 7/8 setup. Higher boosted supercharged applications should go with the larger diameter primaries. Ease of Install
We learned a long time ago to make the system work, it needs to be easy for the user to install. We were the first company on the market to make a COMPLETE, bolt on long tube header kit that the home user could install. We made this as simple of a bolt on as you can get. All of our kits come complete from engine to mufflers with no cutting or welding needed. Fittings slip together for the smoothest connection between pipes. This also makes our cats replaceable in the event of damage or you want to swap to an off-road setup for track use.

We offer our system in two different setups.
1. Full system with out cats,
2. Full system w/cats
All systems will come with off-road pipes included at no charge even for cat'd systems. All systems come with clamps, hardware, extensions, and Super Pro kits come with GM gaskets as well.

All LG Motorsports header kits are covered for the lifetime to the orginial owner against any defect or issue. Of course damage by accident is not covered.

Couple other things to keep in mind on our headers as well.
A few things you will not get with other companies, or would have to pay extra for.
Of course the warranty is only as good as the company is still here, and guys we have been in business for over 26 years now with no plans to slow down!
- Lifetime limited warranty to the original owner of the headers
- Every set comes with the needed 02 sensor harnesses
- All Super Pro sets come complete with brand new GM header gaskets
A few things you will not get with other companies, or would have to pay extra for.
Of course the warranty is only as good as the company is still here, and guys we have been in business for over 26 years now with no plans to slow down!
