Default C5 base price check

Hey guys I'm looking at either a c5z or a c5 base. Just was wondering what kind of c5 base would I be able to buy with a 16 k budget as far as miles and condition goes.

For $16,000 I would expect you could get a 98-99 coupe with around 60,000 miles and in good condition, both mechanically and cosmetically.

I avoided the 97-00 for the ABS issue. But my '01 does burn oil, so '02-04 for C5 base.

What does the oil burning issue on your 01 have to do with 01's in general? Don't understand that comment!

I just picked up a 97 coupe with all the options memory targa top etc and it had 31000 miles it was 15000 at a dealership after i talked them down from 17000 i would suggest buying one that is well maintained and the only way to figure out how well is to see multiple vettes and compare them to yourself and decide if you want more stock or modded vettes

You will get your best deal on a coupe. You can expect a clean car with 70k or less miles on it for 16k. If you can add 2k to your budget you would be able to get that same car with 40k or less miles on it.

I bought an '01 6-Spd Z51 w/83k on the odometer. It has an BB exhaust, vararaam intake and new leather. Paid $15,200 in August.

You can get my 04 with 45K miles for $20K just to give a comparison figure.
