New Seat Skins Color
I'm getting ready to buy a new set of seat skins for my 2000 coupe and am going back and forth on whether I should go with the same light grey color they are now or if I should go with all black.
The existing interior is two-tone black/light grey so I could go either way. I'm leaning toward black, but I do live in the south and summers are very hot here so the black would get hot, but the light grey is a pain to keep clean and it stains easily.
What do you think?

Stay with the black with light gray combo. Makes for a nice look and will keep the seats cooler in the summer.

So, you're saying to keep the light gray? I'd still have the black/gray combo regardless as it's a two-tone interior all the way around, door panels, knee bolster, etc.

IM not a fan of the grey color, and black is very hot. Before spending money on new skins, I would consider other options. I would go to vetteesentials web site and look at their gallery. with a white car, there are much more flattering colors. Even red will make you feel like you are driving a new car. of course you may have to add some supporting pieces, but I would consider something other than grey or black. if your avatar is your car, even a blue interior to match the stripe would work. If I had to choose between gray or black it would be black. Of course you are asking opinions, I would not dismiss red or blue or light oak

The only options I have available to me are a solid light grey or a solid black. My stock interior is two-tone, but the seats are not. The existing skins are light grey.
Vette Essentials is something planned for after I get another car for a daily driver. Until then I don't want to put a very expensive interior in the car just for it to get damaged from the car's use as a daily driver.

The only reason I'm even looking at new seat skins is the gaping hole I have in my driver's seat base, along with the few holes it has in the seat back to match it. The skin is literally about to fall apart.

I would love to go with another color, but for now my limited budget can only support the two options I provided. As of right now my car is a daily driver so I don't want to spend a lot on skins that I'll just replace in a year or two when it becomes a weekend-only cruiser.

I'd looked at slip-on covers but for the cost I just couldn't justify it when I can get brand new skins for $35 more.

It's not in the budget at this point, and I'd be leery about dealing with DJM anyway. They've developed a reputation for late deliveries and an inability to contact them. When the time comes I'll have Vette Essentials make some custom skins for me.

$800 is well out of my current budget for this project. I'd love to do it, but I just don't have the money right now.

I'd looked at them but for $35 more I can get actual skins instead of just having a slip-on cover. If I were to go that route it would still keep ripping the foam out of the cushion as the cover moved around. The foam is repairable now, but if I were to put slip-on covers on the seat it wouldn't be for much longer.
